I frequently joke with my wife when I’m working hard and say, “I’m doing this just for you!” It’s both an honor and a pleasure to help someone you love, and this song was inspired by that.

LYRICS

Distant sky, try to know.
Clouds all moving, a little slow.
Looking up, not down low.

Let the rain, fall on down.
It will follow me around.
Feet are planted on the ground.

The things I do, wish you knew,
Rain or Shine that sees me through,
Things I do and never say,
Sunny night or darkest day,
The things I do, it’s for you.

Can you tell me why I ask?
Days roll by, way too fast,
Moment’s gone to the past.

Let the rain, fall on down.
It will follow me around.
Feet are planted on the ground.

The things I do, wish you knew,
Rain or Shine that sees me through,
Things I do and never say,
Sunny night or darkest day,
The things I do, it’s for you.

The things I do, wish you knew,
Rain or Shine that sees me through,
Things I do and never say,

Sunny night or darkest day,
The things I do, it’s for you, just for you.

Just for you.

Just for you.
